Detectives seek help apprehending suspects

SAN MARCOS — San Diego County Crime Stoppers is joining forces with San Diego County Sheriff’s Department’s San Marcos detectives to help apprehend three suspects responsible for an armed robbery that occurred on Aug. 27 in San Marcos.
An unknown suspect entered the Jewelry Repair Center, located at 311
Pleasant Way in San Marcos, at about 2:45 p.m. He pointed a black handgun toward an employee while two other suspects entered the store. The suspects ordered all four employees to the floor while they began taking jewelry from the display cases. They also took loose diamonds and an undisclosed amount of cash from the safe. The suspects took about $100,000 worth of jewelry and cash before fleeing on foot. Though the suspects made reference to a vehicle while they were robbing the store no vehicle was seen by any witnesses.
All three suspects were described as Hispanic males between 25 to 35 years old. The first suspect was wearing a black baseball hat, gray shirt and long black shorts with white tennis shoes.
The second suspect was wearing a gray baseball hat, black shirt and blue jeans. The third suspect was wearing a multicolored striped hat, a long sleeve two tone blue shirt, black jeans and white shoes.
Detectives are asking anyone with information on the identity of this suspect to call the Crime Stoppers anonymous tip line at (888) 580-8477.
