Cultural foundation schedules free play readings

VISTA — The Moonlight Cultural Foundation’s free play-reading series, WordsWork, will continue with an upcoming series of Monday evening events.
“We are delighted to underwrite collaborations with some of the region’s most notable and talented theatre companies and individuals,” Diana Aaron, Moonlight Cultural Foundation’s executive director, said.
WordsWork, now in its fourth year, is an opportunity to bring free readings of award-winning plays by professional actors to Moonlight’s Avo Playhouse. The Monday evening free play reading series includes “Celebrity Sonnets” on May 25. The San Diego Shakespeare Society has assembled regional notables to read sonnets that are revered, remembered and even those that are forgotten.
WordsWork performances begin at 7:30 p.m., with doors opening at 7 p.m. The Avo Playhouse is located at 303 main Street in Vista. Call (760) 630-7650 for more details.
