Concert to benefit spinal injury victims

SOLANA BEACH — A special benefit concert, “Move with Music,” is being held at 7 p.m. July 24 at the Belly Up, 143 S. Cedros Ave. for Project Walk.The event will feature singer Meg Myers, Kada and Carlsbad reggae, rock and soul band Stone Senses. There will also be a demonstration of Ekso, a bionic exoskeleton that allows individuals with spinal cord injuries to stand and walk (eksobionics.com/). The primary goal of this event is to create more awareness about spinal cord injuries and to raise funds help the injured recover.

Tickets are available at bellyup.com/event/project-walk/ at pre-sale for $12, At the Door for $15. The evening will include an auction/raffle from 6 to 7 p.m.

Project Walk has clients from all around the world training at its Carlsbad headquarters with the shared goals of regaining their independence and ultimately walk again. Through intense activity-based recovery programs, Project Walk works to give its clients the hope that there is life outside of a wheelchair.
