Club receives donation from Hispanic group

VISTA — The Boys & Girls Club of Vista received a special donation from the Hispanic Americans for Progress service organization. The donation will go toward daily programs at the main site on California Avenue, and was made as a tribute to Luz Duran, John Aguilera and Luis Martinez. All three individuals cared about local youth and helping the Boys & Girls Club of Vista fulfill its mission of inspiring and enabling all kids to reach their full potential as responsible citizens.
The donation arrives at a time when the Boys & Girls Club of Vista needs the community the most, as it has doubled its average daily attendance while fundraising is suffering significantly.
