ENCINITAS — Downtown Encinitas will be celebrating summer with the 11th Annual Encinitas Classic Car Cruise Night from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Aug. 20 from D Street to K Street with live music of Morning Glass at the Smog Test Only Center, 682 S. Coast Highway 101.
Everyone is welcome to bring down their classic car(s) of all decades and genres. That night, there will be an extra special set of cars on display. Along with classic cars, there will be an exclusive electric car display, featuring a few of the 100 percent electric/zero emission MINI E. The test pilot Coast Cruiser that is running along Coast Highway 101 for the summer months, that runs on 100 percent vegetable oil will also be on display.
The North County Cruisers help host the evening as classic cars line the historic Highway 101 and there will also be “best of” awards distributed by the evening sponsor, Rancho Auto Body. The event is open and free to the public, every car in attendance is eligible for an award and there is no cost for displaying or viewing the cars.
Come early for the best parking spots because parking is limited, and dine at one of the many restaurants in Downtown Encinitas before the event “shifts into 5th gear.”
