SAN MARCOS — The city of San Marcos is providing park and trail bike tours the third Saturday of every month. Participants can enjoy a memorable bike tour of the city’s parks and trail system. The tour is geared towards the casual rider who is interested in exploring the parks and trails. The tour goes around the northeastern quadrant of the city. Hybrid or mountain bikes are recommended. The riding surface is a combination of bike paths, trails and city streets. Participants are asked to meet at the Community Center at 3 Civic Center Drive, and the tour starts at 9 a.m. Call (760) 744-9000, ext.3535 to learn more about the bike tours.
