City to present free movies in the parks

SAN MARCOS — The city of San Marcos will present two movies in San Marcos parks this summer. Movies appropriate for the entire family will be shown at these outdoor venues. Movies will be free to the public and will be presented on an enormous inflatable screen in high definition format. Bring beach chairs or blankets for lawn seating or swimsuits to Flick and Float at the pool. Pre-show activities start at 6 p.m. and movies start at dusk.
“Cloudy With A Chance of Meatballs” will be shown at San Elijo Hills Park on July 10. “Monsters vs. Aliens” will be shown at Woodlands Park on Aug. 7. Participants can view the movie from the pool for $5.
