City hosts annual antique fair and appraisal

SAN MARCOS — The city of San Marcos Community Services will present its ninth annual Antique Sale and Appraisal Family Heirlooms and Attic Treasures from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Feb. 12 at the San Marcos Community Center, 3 Civic Center Drive.
This free event will feature vendors selling a variety of antiques and collectibles including pottery, linens, books, household items, furniture, vintage items and more. For a fee of $7, a certified appraiser will provide a verbal estimate of any antique or fine art piece (fine jewelry, weapons, and coins/stamps not included).
A limited number of appraisal appointments are available, but not required. The city is also seeking vendors to sell at the event. Visit for a vendor application or call (760) 744-9000 to make an appraisal appointment.
