VISTA — Faith Lutheran School in Vista continues to grow. The 25,000-square-foot Family Life Center the church and school is building is on schedule to open in September, just in time for the 2009-2010 school year. The plan consists of two new buildings to keep up with the needs of the church and school. A new gymnasium, new computer lab, new music lab, youth rooms, extended day care facility, community meeting rooms and a kitchen round out the new facilities.
The expansion included the demolition of the original church and church hall built in 1963. “The need for more space just overwhelmed nostalgia,” said Chris Coletti, youth and family director. “Our youth program serves about 300 teens and children a month. It’s definitely filling a need that is long overdue.”
