Charity League seniors prepare for presentation event

COAST CITIES — The graduating seniors of the National Charity League San Diego del Norte chapter are enjoying the final chapter in their Ticktocker Class of 2009 membership, with the approach of its Senior Presentation event set for April 11 at the Four Seasons Resort Aviara, Grand Ballroom.
This year’s class includes Jessica Brodeen, Elizabeth Mauerman, Katherine Cutting, Kristin Miller, Elizabeth Donahoe, Anne (Kate) Noble, Camille Gillett, Skyler Okey, Haley Glatthorn, Lauren Provenzano, Emily Hake, Marjorie Roesser, Carolyn Hillgren, Lauren Madeline Rohde, Taylor Johnson, Kaylynn Sheets, Kendra Keenan, Mary Elizabeth Shrader, Lauren Livingston, Shelby Sims and Brooke Marinovich.
The first spring event was a special Waltz Dinner where they got a dance lesson with their fathers in preparation for the April 11 evening, when they will be presented by their dads.
Senior Presentation organizers are Sara Shafer, Gigi Fenley and Karin Erdossy.
The National Charity League organization consists of mother and daughters from seventh through 12th grade, with the goal to foster mother-daughter relationships in a philanthropic organization committed to community service, leadership development, and cultural experiences.
In their six-year commitment to philanthropy, these senior high school young women assisted many organizations and participated in various fundraisers, some of which include the Blind Community Center, Casa de Amparo, Casa Palmera, Rady Children’s Convalescent Hospital, Family Recovery Center, Glenner’s Alzheimer’s Family Center, Helen Woodward Animal Center, I Love a Clean San Diego, MADD, Meals on Wheels, Old Globe Theatre, Salvation Army, San Diego Public Libraries, SD Chamber Orchestra, Special Olympics, Social Services of La Jolla and San Pasqual Academy. The mothers are referred to as Patronesses, the daughters as Ticktockers.
