ENCINITAS — The Coastal Community Foundation invites the community to join them in celebration of its 25th anniversary at a Celebration of Philanthropy luncheon from noon to 2 p.m. Oct. 25 at the Lomas Santa Fe Country Club, 1505 Lomas Santa Fe Drive, Solana Beach.The event will recognize 25 nonprofits that have been making a difference
in the North Coast for more than 25 years. Following lunch, there will be interviews with local philanthropists. Guests will hear from individuals who have made a positive impact
in the North Coast community.
Tickets are $45 each and may be purchased online at coastalfoundation.org, clicking on Donate Now. Checks may be mailed to Coastal Community Foundation, P.O. Box 230415, Encinitas, CA 92023.
This year’s committee members include Chairwoman Marion
Dodson, Bill Dean, Bill Harmon, Alice Jacobson, Holly Smith Jones, Greg Murrell, Anne Omsted, Roni Seay and Kathleen Taylor.
The Education Plus Fund at Coastal Community Foundation was established in
1990 by retired educators to support educational programs in the North Coastal
public schools. Grants between $250 and $1,000 are provided for math and
science instruction, real-world applications of classroom learning, language
enhancement, music, creative and performing arts programs. In the spring, numerous
classroom projects were funded.
