CCR needs more to fill baskets

DEL MAR — The Encinitas-based Community Resource Center still needs a few items for its upcoming “Holiday Baskets” giveaway.

The CCR asks that items be new (especially the toys) or gently used and  are hoping to collect more of the following items:

• Blankets – These are for seniors. Look for fleece throws for as little as $4 at discount stores around town right now.

• Small jackets (size 2T-5) – These jackets are needed for the children of these families.

• Toys, books, and stuffed animals – The youngsters get to choose these for themselves.

• Bicycles – CCR is still looking for 100 more bikes

• Diapers – Diapers of all sizes are needed, particularly sized 4 and 5 and 1 and 2

All CRC Thrift Stores are accepting items 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily.
