COAST CITIES — The County Public Works crews plan to restripe and place new lane markers on Del Dios Highway between Escondido and Rancho Santa Fe from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. through Sept. 26 and Oct. 1 and Oct. 2.
Del Dios will remain open but California Highway Patrol officers will provide traffic control on the road between Clauden Road on the east end and the intersection with El Monte Video and La Ville Plateada in the west.
The department maintains nearly 2,000 miles of roads in San Diego County. This project will use more than 625 gallons of paint and 110 pounds of reflective beads that are mixed with the paint to make the striping more visible to motorists, especially at night.
