Carmel Valley student takes the stage in ‘A Chorus Line’

CARMEL VALLEY — From Nov. 20 to Nov. 23, Carmel Valley resident Katie Plaxe will play the role of Tricia in Francis Parker School’s Theatre Arts Program presentation of “A Chorus Line.” She is a freshman at Parker, and has attended Parker since kindergarten. Last year she played Mona Monroe in “Forty-Five Minutes from Broadway.”
The show is directed by Gordon Cantiello, Parker’s theatre arts director for the past 18 years, and is choreographed by Parker senior Tara Reed, in her third year as production choreographer at Francis Parker School.
The story rangs from funny to heartbreaking, as 17 dancers share the stories of their lives. They put themselves on the line to get a job on the line. And when they’re done, so is the audition.
