Cardiff canines groom up for ‘Dog Days’

CARDIFF-BY-THE-SEA — The street fair for dogs and dog lovers in Southern California is set from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Aug. 11 on Aberdeen Drive and Newcastle Avenue in Cardiff-by-the-Sea.The seventh annual Cardiff Dog Days of Summer, hosted by the Cardiff 101 Main Street, is especially for four-legged friends, fans and family members. Dog Days of Summer is a completely dog-centric event. Come enjoy dog contests, custom pet products and animal adoptions. The community and their canine friends come together for contests, games, one silent auction, vendors and, of course, food for both humans and canines.

Highlights of this year include free samples, giveaways and in-store sales from Dirty Dogs as well as a Dirty Dogs fashion show, a blessing of the dogs, dog contests including Best Kisser and Best Dressed, live music by Bucket Ruckus, free samples from Souplantation, an agility course sponsored by K-9 Connection, a doggie photo booth courtesy of Photography by Gabriela, doggie pedicures by 20 Lounge Nail Bar, a doggie beach for your pups to cool off, a children’s zone, and a silent auction.

Also new this year, DOGTV will be setting up a lounge area that will have multiple monitors playing DOGTV for your pooches and comfy chairs and couches for the pet parents to relax.
