Cancer information series to be held

ENCINITAS — The final cancer survival information seminar, Accessing Online Health Resources, will be held from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Jan. 21 in the Encinitas Library at 540 Cornish Drive, featuring internationally recognized radiation oncologist Arno J. Mundt and former Encinitas Mayor Maggie Houlihan, who has fought her own battle with the disease.
The final event will offer the latest information on accessing specialized medical resources and information from home or the office using your San Diego County Library card. By the end of the class, guests will know how to find important and helpful health information from the San Diego County Library online resources as well as from UCSD, San Diego and San Marcos State Universities and USD.

The series of cancer-treatment focused seminars was sponsored by the San Diego County Library, UC San Diego Radiation Oncology, the San Diego Cancer Center, the city of Encinitas and the Encinitas Chamber of Commerce. They presented a series of educational programs on the latest developments in cancer research and treatment options featuring experienced cancer specialists.
