Rabbit lovers turned out with their pets in backpacks and fancy purses, colorful harnesses, willow baskets, souped-up wagons and pet strollers. The day included a lecture on “The Tooth & Nothing but the Tooth” by veterinarian Jeff Jenkins, children’s activities, a silent auction, and shopping with a variety of bunny-themed craft and supply vendors. The House Rabbit Society is an international, all-volunteer nonprofit organization that rescues, spays and neuters, and finds homes for abandoned domestic rabbits.
