CARLSBAD — On Jan. 18, at approximately 6:24 p.m. Carlsbad police officers were requested to check the welfare of the Harry and Jean Gluck at their residence located at 2719 Chestnut Ave. Officers responded and located the deceased couple in a bedroom. The two had suffered chop wounds.
An investigation revealed that Dennis Gluck was the suspect in the double murder. The deceased couple were Dennis Cluck’s parents. An arrest warrant was issued for the arrest of Dennis Gluck.
On the evening of Feb. 26, Dennis Gluck was located and arrested by Mexican police officials on a bus near Ensenada, Mexico. The United States Marshal’s Service and the California Department of Justice assisted the Carlsbad Police Department by coordinating the efforts of the Mexican police.
On Feb. 27 at approximately 1:35 a.m., Mexican police officials released Dennis Gluck to the custody of Carlsbad police detectives at the San Ysidro Port of Entry. Dennis Gluck was transported to the Carlsbad Police Station for further investigation. Dennis Gluck was then transported to the Vista Detention Facility where he was booked for the arrest warrant for two counts of homicide. His bail per his arrest warrant is $5 million.
