REGION — The First United Methodist Church of Escondido invites houses of worship, faith centers, spiritual communities and other groups to join groups touched by fire and experts in solving fire problems, for a free seminar. “The Fire Next Time: Houses of Worship Get Prepared” will be from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. Nov. 15 at the church, 341 S. Kalmia, Escondido.
The event will offer presentations by:
— County Office of Emergency Services – Making sense of the emergency response system
— American Red Cross – How to help if you aren’t a certified shelter
— Rancho Bernardo Community Presbyterian Church – Real life lessons from the 2007 Fires
United Policyholders – Empowering Fire Survivors For Recovery.
