LA JOLLA — The Athenaeum Music & Arts Library, 1008 Wall St., is offering an array of art exhibits as the new year begins.
The Main Gallery will feature “Genie Shenk: Dreams and Other Lost Languages” through Feb. 14, with its opening reception from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Jan.16.
In the Rotunda Gallery, the exhibition will be “Looking for Juan,” a collection of contemporary art from emerging artists from the Philippines, through Feb.14 with its opening reception from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Jan.16. This show is organized by CANVAS, in partnership with artist Jim Hubbell and the Pacific Rim Park Project.
The North Reading Room will feature selections from the Athenaeum’s Erika and Fred Torri “Artists’ Books Collection: Gefn Press” through Feb. 14 with the opening reception from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Jan.16.
