Arcadia Place brings on new management

VISTA — Arcadia Place, an independent living retirement community in Vista managed by Holiday Retirement, has welcomed two new management teams. Marina Burris and Phil Lowery signed on with Arcadia Place in July 2008, and Paul and Eileen Richardson joined the Arcadia Place family in December 2008.
Burris and Lowery have worked with Holiday Retirement since April 2006. Prior to joining the team at Arcadia Place, they served as co-managers at three other Holiday communities in Southern California.
Burris has worked with special needs children and was an advocate for children and their parents. She also worked in marketing for another senior independent living company.
Prior to joining Holiday, Lowery worked in video production and in the computer industry. He also managed maintenance staff for another senior independent living company.
Both Burris and Lowery cared for their own aging parents before joining Holiday, and thus bring a personal perspective to their work.
“We’ve had a great time serving hundreds of residents,” Burris said. “It is a gratifying experience.”
Eileen Richardson has spent much of her life in Southern California. Paul Richardson is originally from the East Coast, but attended college in California. They have known each other since high school, and subsequently followed separate paths until reuniting and marrying a few years ago. Both have military experience and are excited at the prospect of working with the senior residents at Arcadia Place.
“We hope to get to know each resident and provide them the personal service they deserve,” the couple said. “Our seniors nationwide are the backbone of our country. Making them happy is just as powerful as helping a serviceman or woman.”
Managers at Holiday Retirement communities live within their community, and thus provide availability to residents 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Managers take pride in getting to know residents on a close personal basis, allowing them to help ease residents’ transition to their new home and help ensure their ongoing contentment and comfort.
Arcadia Place, a 114-unit community in Vista, was built by Holiday Retirement in 1989.
