CARLSBAD — The Carlsbad by the Sea Resort and Conference Center was a hub of activity for its 4th annual Business is Green! Expo. Hosted by the Carlsbad Chamber of Commerce, more than 500 guests visited the special event with an array of exhibitors.While people flowed in, chamber associates Kathy Steffen and Bev Jorgensen greeted them. New chairman of the board, Carlton Lund, was also on hand.
“This event has grown more popular over the years,” said Bev Jorgensen, vice president of corporate and member relations at the Carlsbad Chamber of Commerce.
“More people are coming for very specific interests.”
All-electric vehicles from the California Center for Sustainable Energy, San Diego Gas & Electric, and Coda and Fisker automotive drew a great deal of attention; a panel on the Equinox Center’s 2011 Dashboard discussed topics such as the cost of living, waste, and transportation.
There was something for everyone at the Business is Green! Expo. Attendees and exhibitors did their networking while learning something new.
