VISTA — Vista Community Clinic received $25,000 from the S. Mark Taper Foundation to bring the Teen Clinic into the digital age. The one-year grant allows Vista Community Clinic to expand outreach into social networking
sites including MySpace, Twitter and Facebook. Vista Community Clinics believes in meeting people where they are and today, people — especially youth — are online. Social media sites are an effective tool to interact with youth locally and nationwide who are in need of accurate, timely information about their health.
The sites include a question and answer section, blogs, current music, current events and much more. All information is presented in a teen friendly format. Follow “Choicesteenclinic” on MySpace, Facebook and Twitter.
