Prepare for the start of fire season

CAMP PENDLETON — It’s that time of year again and fire season has arrived. Many Camp Pendleton residents remember quite vividly the 2008 firestorms and the mandatory evacuations from military housing.
At times it seemed as though the entire state of California was on fire and many residents did not feel very prepared for these evacuations.
There are two things this season that every military family housing residents should do.
One is to prepare your house and property to protect it from wild fires and the other is always be prepared to ship out.
