Police still investigating homicide

OCEANSIDE — Police are still investigating the homicide of Timothy Harrison that happened more than one week ago.

The 27-year-old black male was found shot and killed at an Oceanside home in the 500 block of Gold Drive on Aug. 23.

Neighbors reported hearing gunfire, and a witness said a man had been shot.

Police responded and pronounced Harrison dead at the scene.

At this time police are not releasing much more information about the incident, which is under investigation.

It is thought that Harrison’s mother lives in Oceanside, but it is not known why he was at the residence on Gold Drive. Harrison is not believed to be a resident of Oceanside.

Presently no weapon has been identified or recovered, although it is believed Harrison was shot and killed with a single handgun.
