Solana Beach City Councilman Dave Roberts describes life as an elected official to seventh- and eighth-graders during Career Day at Earl Warren Middle School on May 20. As part of his presentation, Roberts made a list of salaries and asked the students to match them to the legislator who earned each amount. Then he had one youngster try to pair each official with the length of his or her term.
