SAN MARCOS — The city of San Marcos is currently accepting entries for its High School Student Art Show to be held in conjunction with San Marcos Alive. The event will be held at the San Marcos Civic Center from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Oct. 4. Art categories include oil and acrylic, watercolor and water media, and other (which includes drawing, pastel, photography, computer art and mixed media and 3D).
The winners of the contest will receive cash and prizes donated by local businesses. Students in grades nine to 12 are encouraged to enter artwork completed during the past year. There is no entry fee and a limit of three entries per student. All entries will be displayed and the winners will be announced at the San Marcos Alive event.
