RANCHO SANTA FE — Calling their accomplishments “quite a feat,” the principals of R. Roger Rowe honored 33 elementary and middle school students at the June 3 board meeting for perfect attendance during the 2008-2009 school year.

tardies were kindergartener Michael Kenyon; first-graders Tessa Catledge and Benjamin Fitzpatrick;
second-graders Brenda Bazaldua, Ariana DeMaria and Casey Thatcher; third-graders Daniel Brewster Burns and four-time recipient Jasmine Jaffe; fourth-grader Grant Bailey; sixth-graders Sophia Clark and Jonathan Luck; seventh-graders Erika Graham, David Pan and Julia Skyhar; and eighth-graders Jasmine Luck and Sean Mojaver.
Receiving kudos for no absences and less than three tardies were kindergartner Kelly Slosar; first-grader Aaron Lustig; second-graders Porter Hollen and Angela Suastegui; third-graders Blake Fuller, Cameron Klein, Hana Lustig and Nicholas McVay; fourth-graders Adam Lustig, Jose Ramirez and Taylor Scornavacco; sixth-graders Kristin Butler and Kate Swanson; seventh-graders Zoe Kennedy and Renzo Vajda; and eighth-graders Erika Garcia and Matthew Schulzki.
The students, who represent about 5 percent of the total enrollment, were recognized in front of their classmates at an assembly earlier that day.
Board members also planned to recognize 13-year-old Chris Rellas, the school’s speech contest winner, but he was unable to attend because he was playing in a volleyball tournament.
