ENCINITAS — After several years of planning and going through numerous permitting processes, the Encinitas Community Garden at 441 Quail Gardens Dr. was unveiled to the public on Saturday. The garden, the first of its kind in the city, opened its plots for growers to earn their green thumbs and begin sprouting organic produce.

So far, about 42 of the 63 plots have been leased out to residents.
