Tri-City Hospital fills the catwalk for a cause

OCEANSIDE — Philanthropic fashionistas can mark their calendars and prepare to give back in style at Tri-City Hospital Foundation’s fourth annual “Fashion That Heals” event.

Focusing on the expansion and refurbishment of Tri-City Medical Center’s neonatal intensive care unit (NICU), the only Level III facility in North County, the fashion show and champagne luncheon will be May 2 at the Sheraton Carlsbad Resort & Spa. Tickets are $125 at tricityhospitalfoundation.org or call (760) 940-3370. For more details on sponsoring Fashion That Heals 2015 or future Tri-City Hospital Foundation events, contact Rosella Saucier at SaucierR@tcmc.comor or (760) 940-3597.
In Fashion That Heals tradition, the highlight of the event will be a fashion show featuring looks from local boutiques and designers and starring Tri-City physicians, nurses and employees. Before and after models hit the runway, guests will be able to enjoy a fashion trunk show and a live auction. A “Pick a Purse” opportunity drawing gives lucky winners the chance to go home with a designer handbag. Opportunity drawing tickets are available via the Foundation office for $20 each, and participants do not need to be present to win.
“We had a wonderful turnout in 2014 and raised more than $105,000 for women’s cardiac health services as a result,” said Event Co-Chairwoman Ellen Stotmeister. “With mothers and babies as a focus, we look forward to another successful, productive event and promoting better health for North County’s littlest citizens.”
Co-Chairwoman Angela Colucci, said, “Tri-City Medical Center’s NICU is uniquely equipped to begin with, and we can’t wait to add to its abilities even further with the help of our community.”
