ENCINITAS — The 24th Annual Fall Festival, presented by the Encinitas 101 MainStreet Associaton and sponsored by Tri-City Medical Center, returns to downtown Encinitas Nov. 23 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.  With more than 450 booths to visit, plus dozens of unique downtown Encinitas retailers, this is a perfect opportunity for holiday shopping.  Fair-goers can enjoy music and dance performances at two stages, as well as the Kids Zone, Dog Zone, Bike Valet and free Smart car test-drives.Headlining the day’s musical entertainment are the Bayou Brothers and Samisi & FulaBula, both playing The Lumberyard Courtyard Stage at Hwy. 101 and H Street.  A few blocks down at F Street, nine different music and dance acts will take their turns on Hansen’s Community Stage.

Children of all ages will enjoy a wide range of interactive booths and free activities in the Jamba Juice Kids Zone, located in The Lumberyard parking lot at Hwy 101 and H Street.

Dog owners and their canine companions will receive special treatment in the VCA Animal Hospital Dog Zone, located in The Lumberyard’s I Street lot.  In addition to dog-centric exhibitors, there will be a 2000+ square foot artificial turf dog park, including an agility course provided by Cognitive Dogs Training Center.

Cyclists can leave their bikes at either end of the festival, at D Street or J Street, thanks to the free Bike Valet service sponsored by Electra Bikes.

At J Street, the south end of the festival, Smart will be offering free test drives of both electric and gas-powered models.

Encinitas 101 has teamed up with Uber so that fair-goers can skip the parking hassles and ride with ease to and from the event.  To get a free round trip up to $20 each way, sign up online at uber.com, or download the app, and enter the promo code ENCINITAS101 (new users only).

Coast Hwy 101 will be closed from D Street to J Street, starting at 4 a.m.  Parking will be available at the Moonlight Beach, City Hall and North County Transit District Coaster Station lots (along Vulcan Ave. at D and E Streets).
