The Leucadia 101 Main Street will kick off the 9th Annual LeucadiART Walk on August 25th with a collection of local artists showing their work.
Art and eclecticism have always been hallmarks of Leucadia, said Carris Rhodes, coordinator of Leucadia 101 Main Street.
“The 2013 ArtWalk celebrates our community’s artistic history while offering a diverse sampling of its present talent. The event is shaping up to be an engaging day of arts, music and fun experiences,” she said.
There will be live music at various locations on Coast Highway 101, including the Leucadia Post Office, Surfy Surfy, The Corner Frame Shop, Leucadia Roadside Park, Noni Salon & Boutique and Gold Coast Plaza. The Noni Salon and Firestone Walker beer garden is located at 714 N Coast Hwy 101 and will have music from 1–7 p.m., staying open after LeucadiART ends at 5 p.m.
The Magic Bus will give visitors a chance to take a cruise through Leucadia and learn about the community. The bus director will give information on historic sites, local businesses and artists. The bus is free and will pick up at marked locations along Hwy 101 as well as the Downtown Encinitas Bus station.
