Myths and legends take on edible forms

SAN DIEGO — San Diego’s top chefs and pastry artists will become legends with their magical creations Nov. 29. 

Chefs will reveal their gingerbread structures ranging from American myths to worldly tales for the 19th Annual Gingerbread City Design Competition. Come marvel at these spectacular structures at this nationally recognized competition benefiting the Epilepsy Foundation of San Diego County. These masterpieces will be unveiled at the gala event at the Grand Del Mar Resort in Del Mar.

Sally B. Thornton, Founding Chairman, and Honorary Co-Chairs Papa Doug & John Lynch invite you to enjoy complimentary champagne and wine, desserts, auctions, gorgeous displays and savory delicacies prepared by chefs from San Diego’s top restaurants, including Addison Restaurant at the Grand Del Mar, Café Champagne at Thornton Winery, The Marine Room, Evolve Cuisine Forward, Flavor Del Mar, Burlap, and more.

All proceeds benefit the Epilepsy Foundation of San Diego County, which offers free services to more than 50,000 people with epilepsy.

Individual tickets are $300 to $1,000; tables available, starting at $5,000.
