CARLSBAD — Art-Swirlicious, a free afternoon art show hosted by Homelife Village Realtors in Carlsbad, will fill the corner of Grand Avenue and State Street with art, music and old-fashioned root beer floats from 1 to 5 p.m. Aug. 25.The mixed works of five professional artists will include the show-stopping sight of a 10-foot tall wooden carved dragon named Grog, by artist Thomas Thomas. Thomas just recently unveiled “Grog” in Carlsbad, along with his “animal creations.” He will be joined by Carlsbad artist Cheryl Ehlers, with her latest musical art. Stephen Gary, a creative and fanciful artist, will take your mind to places it has never been and Tony Shelfo, a naturalist, along with Karla Nederhof’s jewelry designs in natural stone will be on display.
