San Elijo Hills celebrates traditional Country Fair

SAN MARCOS — San Elijo Hills will be decked out in Western regalia for the fourth annual Country Fair from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. April 30.
The all-American fair, located just off the San Elijo Hills Town Square at San Elijo and Elfin Forest roads in San Marcos, will include activities for the whole family, including art projects, live entertainment by Atomic Groove, traditional barbecue, carnival booths, and silent and live auctions.
“This fun day has every traditional ingredient but the greased pig,” said Halé Richardson, director of marketing for San Elijo Hills.  “So slip on your boots, grab your cowboy hat, put on your gingham shirt and Levis and prepare for some old-fashioned fun.  There’s even a cakewalk planned.”
The annual extravaganza is open to the public and raises funds for San Elijo Elementary School.
