The team won the North County League Middle School Junior Varsity Championship (for sixth – and seventh-grade) with a score of 37 to 36 over the Valley Center Thunderhawks Feb. 17. The Mustangs are coordinated through the Boys & Girls Club of Vista. During the regular season, the Mustangs improved with a 6 to 4 record, and tied for the second seed.
