HELPING HAITI

Art students from Murray High School in Vista recently participated in a project called
Haiti Houses. Students in Susan Avery Clark’s art classes created tiny house-shaped collages from cardboard, markers, beads and other materials to symbolize hope for the children of Haiti. Each little house was a one-of-a-kind art piece, signed by its creator with a pin or magnet attached to the back. They sold for $5 each and a total of $805 was raised and recently donated to UNICEF to help in the earthquake relief efforts.
